Marigolds are one of the easiest flowers to grow from seed. They bloom all summer long in colors of yellow, orange, white, gold, and red. Marigolds grow fast and are usually 1-2 feet tall. Marigolds are annuals and need to be replanted each planting season.

Plant marigold seeds in the ground 1 inch deep and 1 inch apart after the last frost. You can plant indoors in pots about 4-6 weeks before the last frost and then transplant them. It takes about 8 weeks for marigolds to bloom. Marigolds grow best in full sun. You can harvest the seeds of some marigolds at the end of the planting season and save them for the next year to plant. It is best to water marigolds at the base of the plant.
